Ms. Zoia Kretova has a diploma in Meteorology from The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and most of her professional life is related to meteorology and climatology. Until December 2019, she headed the Department of meteorology and climate of the National hydrometeorological service (Kyrgyzhydromet). Currently, she is an independent expert on climate change.

In the period 2015-2017, she studied for a master's degree in Integrated water resources management at the Kazakh-German University.

Starting 2019 Ms. Zoia Kretova took on the role of the national coordinator of CAY4W.
