On September 27, 2017 within the framework of CAYFWATER Network an ecological excursion was organized together with the Youth the Ecological Club “Junona” dedicated to the Year of Youth in Tajikistan. Students from two profile universities –Tajik Technical University named after M.S.Osimi and Tajik Agrarian University named after Sh.Shohtemur. As well as young teachers of water, energy and environmental protection sphere took part in this excursion. The excursion was conducted under the topic “Rising youth awareness on the water issues of the Republic of Tajikistan”. As the most interesting and important part of the excursion students visited the Hydro Power Plants “Norak” and “Baygazy”. These two hydro power plants provide electricity to the half of the country. Apart from this a brainstorm was conducted during the excursion where students shared their knowledge on water issues of the republic and new ideas and projects that the youth of the country can take part in and real implement in Tajikistan.
